LUBBOCK, Texas – Black Hills State cross country competed in Lubbock Texas at the NCAA Division II South Central Region Cross Country Championships Saturday, November 6th.
The Yellow Jackets had success in Texas with all nine runners completing their respective races with career best times.
The women took the course first running a 6K that started at 8:00 a.m.
Xiomara Robinson was the top finisher for the Yellow Jackets finishing in 11th with a career best time of 21:03.9.
Next across the finish line for the green and gold was
Ruby Lindquist. Lindquist finished the 6k with a with a career best time of 21:33.00 which earned her 25th.
Morgan Wald was across next for BHSU with a career best time of 23:41.10 which earned her a 102nd place finish and
Erica Dykstra came in 106th with a career best time of 23:48.10 to round out the Yellow Jackets in competition.
Next to take the course were the men running a 10K at 9:15 a.m.
Matt Parker was the first across the line for the men with a career best 10K time of 31:31.6 finishing in 36th.
Close behind Parker was
Keith Osowski who finished the 10K in 31:58.26, which was a career best time, earning 51st.
Sophomore
Tim Brown was next across the line for BHSU finishing his first collegiate 10K with a time of 32:12.91 which earned him a 61st place finish.
Rounding out the pack for the men were freshman
Lincoln Fleischman and junior
Noah Bordewyk. This was also Fleischman's first collegiate 10K which he finished in 33:25.44 earning 108th. Bordwyk earned a career best time of 33:59.52 coming in 122nd.

Now the Yellow Jacket runners will wait to see which athletes will get a bid to the NCAA DII National Championships which are being held in Saint Leo, Florida Saturday, November 20th.
