Busy Weekend On-Deck for BHSU Athletics

Black Hills State Athletics is hosting five events this weekend with a pair of basketball doubleheaders and an indoor track meet starting Friday.

Weekend Rundown
Friday begins with track and field's Yellow Jacket Holiday Open as the heptathlon and pentathlon open at 3:30 p.m.

Later that evening, women's basketball tips off at 5:30 p.m. with the men's game starting 20 minutes after the conclusion of the women's game. Both teams are taking on Western Colorado.

Saturday starts early as the Holiday Open continues at 9 a.m. with field events, followed by running events at 2 p.m.

Men's and women's basketball have another doubleheader Saturday night as well, taking on Fort Lewis as the women tip off at 4 p.m.

Friday
Ugly Sweater Night
Get into the holiday spirit by wearing your ugly sweaters out to the basketball games and track meet. This is put on by the BHSU Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).

WBB Banner Unveiling
Before Friday's women's basketball game, we will honor the team by unveiling banners for their 2020-21 RMAC Tournament Championship and NCAA Tournament berth.

MBB Banner Unveiling
Between the women's and men's game, we will then unveil a banner commemorating the men's 2019-20 RMAC Regular Season Championship

Saturday
Native American Recognition Day
We will recognize our Native American communities, students and student-athletes throughout our men's and women's basketball games. This will include performances, and individual and group recognitions.
