Black Hills State volleyball is set to take on three different opponents in three days with South Dakota Mines on the slate for Friday at 7:00 p.m. and U Mary and MSU Billings up next Sunday at home.
 
BHSU is coming off a loss to Colorado Christian in four sets on March 6th in Lakewood, Colo. In that match up Kindra Cerrone led the offensive attack for the Yellow Jackets with 12 kills and 30 attacks. BHSU also had three aces in the contest recorded by Karly Marx, Katelyn Sylvester, and Peyton Bodemann.

The weekend begins in Rapid City as the Yellow Jackets take on the Hardrockers on Friday night at 7:00. The last time BHSU faced off against the Hardrockers was over a year ago on November 15th of 2019 due to COVID-19. In that contest the Yellow Jackets won the game three sets to one while being led offensively by Madison Hoopman who recorded 13 kills throughout the competition. BHSU also recorded four aces in the match up.

After taking on the Hardrockers Friday night the Yellow Jackets will be back at home Sunday to compete in a pod with U Mary and MSU Billings. BHSU will play at both 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. with U Mary and MSU Billings set to face off against one another at 2:00 p.m.
 
The Yellow Jackets will start the day off celebrating senior day before they face off against U Mary at 11:00. The team currently has two seniors, Valerie Blake and Ashley Uffelman. The last time the Marauders and Yellow Jackets faced off was in August of 2018. In that contest the Yellow Jackets secured a victory in five sets winning 3-2 over U Mary. The Marauders are coming off their first game of the season securing a win over Minot State 3-1.

The Yellow Jackets will then take a short break before facing off against MSU Billings at 5:00 p.m. in the Young Center. MSU Billings currently holds a 1-1 record and are coming off their first win of the season against Rocky Mountain College 3-1. The Yellow Jackets have not faced off against MSU Billings since the 2014 season.
 
Friday's game against South Dakota Mines will be a conference match up while both of Sunday's match ups will be non-conference matches for the Black Hills State Yellow Jackets who are currently 2-4 in the RMAC and 3-4 overall.
