Black Hills State athletics has announced its new partnership deal with Leones' Creamery in Spearfish, who has released a new Yellow Jacket ice cream.
As part of the deal, BHSU athletics will get a portion of sales from every serving of Yellow Jacket ice cream sold, which will directly fund scholarships for student-athletes.
"Black Hills State athletics is excited to be able to continue expanding our Yellow Jacket brand with this ice cream," said Assistant Athletic Director for External Operations,
Thayer Trenhaile. "This partnership will help keep us advancing our student-athlete experience here at BHSU, and we cannot thank Leones' Creamery enough."
The partnership was debuted at Saturday's Gold Rush Raffle with everyone in attendance getting to try the new Yellow Jacket ice cream.
This is the second major sponsorship deal with a local business for the Yellow Jackets in three months after announcing the department's partnership with Spearfish Brewing in March.
