Black Hills State women's volleyball team is geared up for two competitions this week as they take on South Dakota Mines Tuesday night in Rapid City and Regis at home on Friday night.

BHSU is coming off a pair of tough losses last week after falling in five sets to Chadron State and falling to Colorado School of Mines in three.

The Hardrockers are coming off their first conference win of the season as they defeated the Chadron State Eagles in four sets Saturday night. The last time the Hardrockers and Yellow Jackets faced off BHSU walked away with a victory after defeating the Hardrockers in three sets in front of their first home crowd in two seasons at the Donald E Young Center Tuesday, Sept. 14th. Madison Hoopman and
Mariah Robinson led the team front with nine kills each while Robinson also threw up six blocks in the contest. This was the Yellow Jackets first and only conference win so far this season as BHSU is on a three-game losing streak. BHSU will look to put together another win Tuesday night in the King Center at 7:00 p.m.

The Rangers are coming off a pair of wins against Fort Lewis College and Western Colorado University. Regis defeated Western Colorado and Fort Lewis College each in straight sets. The last time the Rangers and the Yellow Jackets faced off was last season Feb. 25. In that contest the Rangers walked away with the match victory in four sets. The Yellow Jackets will look to secure another conference victory in this match-up. The Yellow Jackets will be participating in faculty/staff appreciation at their home match-up against the Rangers.
