COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Black Hills State women's basketball had two student-athletes named to the RMAC All-Academic First Team, as announced by the league office Monday afternoon.
Danica Kocer and
Ashley Davis earned their place on the RMAC All-Academic First Team while five more Yellow Jackets were named to the RMAC Honor Roll for their efforts both on and off the court.
RMAC All-Academic First Team
Ashley Davis – 3.96 GPA, Exercise Science
Davis a senior guard from Belcourt, N.D. was named to the RMAC All-Academic first team for her efforts in the classroom and on the court this season. Ashley is and Exercise Science major who maintains a 3.96 GPA. This season Davis has played and started in all 19 games the Yellow Jackets have competed in. Davis has also racked up a total of 120 points with her career high of 21 points coming at home against South Dakota Mines January 1 this season. Davis leads the team in blocks with eight, has 21 steals, and 17 assists so far this season.
Danica Kocer – 4.00 GPA, Chemistry and Composite Science Education
Kocer a junior guard from Sioux Falls, S.D. was also named to the RMAC All-Academic first team for her efforts in the classroom and on the court this season. Danica is a Chemistry and Composite Science Education double major who maintains a 4.00 GPA. This season Kocer has played in and started in all 19 games for the Yellow Jackets. Kocer currently leads the team in points scored having scored 205 points this season and is currently the only Yellow Jacket averaging double digits in scoring. This season Danica has totaled 23 steals, 34 assists, and two blocks for the Yellow Jackets.
