Black Hills State embarks on another road trip this weekend for Friday/Saturday matches against Adams State and New Mexico Highlands.

The Yellow Jackets (4-16, 3-9 RMAC) hit the road in conclusion of a two-game split this past weekend, defeating Western Colorado 3-1 on Friday night then dropping their match against Fort Lewis 3-1 on Saturday night. In their game against the Mountaineers, the ladies hit their season high in team blocks (13) thanks to effective play at the net.
Madison Hoopman continues to prove to be a force on the Yellow Jackets squad, as her 3.35 kills/set on the season places her in the top five in the RMAC in the stat category.
Karly Marx also ranks in the top 10 in RMAC assists/set with an 8.43 clip, while
Haedyn Rhoades leads the RMAC with 5.26 digs/set this season.

Yellow Jackets (4-16, 3-9 RMAC) at Adams State Grizzlies (6-14, 3-9 RMAC)
The Grizzlies return to their home of Alamosa, Colorado off a tough three-game road stretch that included two nationally ranked teams. On Oct. 7, the Grizzlies fell to the #17 Regis, then the following Friday (Oct. 14) they fell to the tough #2 MSU Denver in three straight sets. On Oct. 15, concluding the road tour against Colorado Christian, ASU dropped their match in Lakewood, Colorado in three as well. They'll be returning home looking to bounce back from the tough road games in the previous weeks. The game is slated for a 7 p.m. start on Friday, Oct. 21.

The last contest between the Yellow Jackets and the Grizzlies took place on Oct. 29, 2021, with the hosting BHSU prevailing over ASU after five sets in that game.

The 2022 season up to this weekend has been rough for the NMHU Cowgirls, who are returning home to Las Vegas, New Mexico on a five-game losing streak. Last weekend, like the Grizzlies, NMHU completed their own multi-game road trip in Colorado that saw two shutout losses to CCU and MSU Denver, respectively. They will be kicking off their breast cancer awareness weekend on Friday night against South Dakota Mines, with tip off against the Yellow Jackets slated for Saturday, Oct. 22 at 5 p.m.

The last meeting between BHSU and NMHU took place on Oct. 30, 2021 with the Yellow Jackets defeating the Cowgirls 3-1 in Spearfish.
