Black Hills State softball heads south this weekend to Lakewood, Colo. to take on Colorado Christian for four games.
The Yellow Jackets (5-7, 5-7 RMAC) will play two on Saturday, March 19 at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m., and a pair on Sunday, March 20, at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
The two teams last played on March 31, 2021 in a triple-header due to weather, in which BHSU dropped the trio. The Yellow Jackets are 3-25 all-time against CCU and will look to add to their win total this weekend.
BHSU has played well so far this season, splitting its series at New Mexico Highlands and Adams State.
As a team, the Yellow Jacket offense has been potent with a .362/.416/.555 slash line, while totaling 135 hits (averaging over 10 per game) and 42 extra base hits over their 12 games so far this season.
