Ava Dinger
Â
Ava Dinger is a triple jumper joining the Yellow Jackets out of Wall, S.D. where she competed for Wall High School.
"Ava is a very competitive multi-sport athlete out of Wall, SD.," said Head CoachÂ
Seth Mischke. "She will bring some great characteristics to our track program both academically and athletically. Â Can't wait to get her here training and making us better!"

As a freshman Ava competed in the 100-meter dash, 200-meter dash, long jump, triple jump, 4x100, and 4x200. Dinger earned season bests of 13.91 in the 100-meter dash, 30.33 in the 200-meter dash, 15' 7.5" in the long jump, and 31' 01" in the triple jump.

Dinger did not have a sophomore season due to COVID 19.
As a junior Dinger competed in the 200-meter dash, long jump, triple jump, 4x100, 4x200, and the 4x400. Ava earned season bests of 30.11 in the 200-meter dash, 15' 07" in the long jump, and 33' 10.5" in the triple jump.

As a senior Dinger competed in the long jump, triple jump, 4x100, and 4x200. Ava has earned season bests of 14' 9.5" in the long jump, and 30' 3.25" in the triple jump so far for her senior season. Dinger was named a team captain for her senior year.

Ava's career bests include a 13.91 100-meter dash, a 29.61 200-meter dash, 15' 08" in the long jump, and 33' 10.5" in the triple jump. Ava is a member of the school record holding teams in the 4x100 and 4x200 relays. Dinger also holds the school record in the triple jump.

Ava qualified for the State Track Meet in 8th, 9th, and 11th grade. Dinger placed fifth in the 4x100 at state, fifth in the 4x200 at state, and seventh in the long jump.

Throughout high school Dinger was a member of the Gold Honor Roll and National Honor Society. Ava is first in her class with a perfect 4.0 GPA. At BHSU Dinger plans to major in Exercise Science with hopes of becoming a physical therapist after graduation.

Hanah Sullivan
Â
Hanah Sullivan is a thrower joining the Yellow Jackets from Sheridan, Wyoming where she competed for Sheridan High School's track and field team.

"We are excited to have Hanah join BHSU," said head throws coach
Sandy Moran, "We think she will develop into a contributing member of the BHSU Track & Field team. She just came off a great indoor season, where she got 4th at the State meet in the shot put and is already making her mark in this outdoor season in the discus and shot put."

Sullivan began her high school career competing in throwing events including indoor shot put and outdoor shot put and discus. As a freshman Sullivan earned a season best indoor shot put throw of 30' 1" and a season best outdoor mark of 30' 5" in shot put. Sullivan also competed in the discus earning a season best throw of 92' 7".

Hanah's sophomore season was cut short due to COVID, but she was able to earn a season best shot put of 33' 5" during indoor season before outdoor was cancelled.

As a junior Sullivan picked right back up where she left off recording a season best mark of 34' 8" in indoor shot put before besting that in outdoor with a mark of 35' 8". As a junior Hanah recorded a season best throw of 118' 4" in the discus.

Sullivan increased her personal bests in her senior year with a 38' 2" mark in the indoor shot put before earning her career best mark, so far, in the shot put of 40' 1". So far this season Hanah has also earned a career best in the discus with a mark of 122' 2".

Sullivan has been a member of Sheridan High Schools State Track and Field Indoor track team from 2018-2022 and has also been named a member of the Outdoor State Track and Field team in 2021 and 2022. In 2021 Sullivan earned ninth place overall in the shot put at the Indoor State Track and Field meet and was a member of the third-place overall team. During outdoor in 2021 Sullivan earned fourth place at the Regional Track and Field meet in the discus and took fifth at the State Track and Field meet. Most recently Hanah took fourth place overall at the Indoor State Track and Field meet in the shot put.

This season Sullivan was named team captain of the Sheridan High School indoor and outdoor track and field teams.
Â
Sullivan is ranked in the top 10% of her class with a 4.2 GPA and has been named to the honor roll all four years of high school. Hanah has been an active member of the National Honor Society since 2020 and was named an officer for the 2021-22 school year. Sullivan has also earned an academic letter all four years of high school.

Hanah plans to major in Environmental Science at BHSU with hopes of becoming an Environmental Scientist after graduation.
