Colorado Springs, Colo. – Black Hills State men's cross country has been selected to finish 8
th (108 points) in the 2022 RMAC preseason poll, which was released by the league on Monday.
Last season, the Yellow Jackets competed in the first full season since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Men had two first place overall finishes last season with multiple athletes completing personal best times in 2021.
Men's cross country will be retaining 13 athletes and introducing seven new faces to the team. The Yellow Jackets season will kick off on Saturday, Sept. 10 at 6 p.m. at the Gage McSpadden Memorial race at the Spearfish Country Club.
The men's preseason polls ranked Colorado Mines to finish in the number one spot with 196 points and 13 first-place votes, while Adams State was ranked second with 183 points and two first-place votes. UCCS (158 points), Western Colorado (157 points), and Colorado Christian (142 points) topped out the final three places in the top five.
