Yellow Jacket volleyball is set for two home games this weekend, taking on Chadron State on Friday, Sept. 16 at 7 p.m., followed by a Saturday, Sept. 17 contest against the No. 19 Colorado Mines at 3 p.m.

The Yellow Jackets return to the Donald E. Young Center after playing CSU Pueblo on the road, losing in straight sets (25-20, 25-15, and 25-28).

All 2022 volleyball summer camp attendees who wear their camp t-shirts to this weekend's matches will receive free entry. Additionally, our BHSU volleyball team will be available following the match to sign autographs.

Black Hills State (1-9, 0-2 RMAC) vs. Chadron State (3-7, 1-1 RMAC)
The Eagles are coming off a 2-4 home record, including three games the Eagles played last week. They lost to No. 5 Wayne State (3-0) on Monday, Sept. 5, dropped a matchup against Adams State (3-1) on Friday, Sept. 9, and picked up a win over New Mexico Highlands (3-1) on Saturday, Sept. 10. Chadron State is looking to ride the momentum into their first RMAC road game of the season.

The last matchup between the Yellow Jackets and the Eagles took place on Nov. 13, 2021, and the Yellow Jackets beat Chadron State in three sets.

Black Hills State (1-9, 0-2 RMAC) vs. No. 19 Colorado Mines (6-4, 1-1 RMAC)
The No. 19 ranked Orediggers are coming to town off a 1-1 record in the RMAC as they dropped their first matchup on Sept. 7 against No. 23 Regis in a 3-0 upset, then they flipped the script and beat Westminster 3-0 in their first home game on Sept. 10. Colorado Mines will stop in Rapid City to compete against South Dakota Mines before coming to the Donald E. Young Center to take on the Yellow Jackets.

In the last contest against Colorado Mines (Nov. 12, 2021), the Orediggers beat the Yellow Jackets in a competitive three-set match.
