CHADRON, Neb. – Black Hills State cross country hits the road for their second meet of the season, competing at the Chadron State Collegiate Invitational on Friday, Sept. 16 at 9 a.m. 

The meet will be hosted by Chadron State, with the men competing in a 6k race and the women competing in a 5k. 

The Yellow Jackets are coming off an impressive outing at the Gage McSpadden Memorial, with men and women placing first in their respective races, along with four athletes breaking their personal best times.

Xiomara Robinson led the way for the Yellow Jacket ladies as she secured a first-place finish in the women's 5k event, leading the competition in a 92-second gap with a recorded time of 18:24.5. Sylvia Brown also recorded a 5k personal best mark, following Robinson to finish second and record a final time of 19:02.5.
 
In the men's 6k event, Matt Parker led the way for the Yellow Jackets, recording a personal best 6k time of 18:57.9 to place second. Tim Brown shortly followed suit, placing in third and recording a 19:01.3 personal best finish.
