CHADRON, Neb. – Yellow Jacket cross country saw success at the Chadron State Collegiate Invite as Black Hills State had first-place winners in both men's and women's categories.
 
In the men's 6k run, Tim Brown finished in first with a time of 19:20.95. Matt Parker was just behind him with a 19:23.59 second-place finish. Keith Osowski (19:36.89) would place in fourth to be the third of three Yellow Jackets to place in the men's top-five in Chadron.
 
Lincoln Fleischman (19:42.13) and Hayden Grosz (19:45.75) would take sixth and seventh, and Britton Elkin claimed ninth place with a 19:55.96 mark. Reese Charest (20:13.06) and Levi Smith (20:17.53) would be the next two Yellow Jackets to finish, followed by the trio of Justyn France (20:30.89), Mason Swingholm (20:34.58), and David Standish (20:36.09). Addison Red Fox would be the final Yellow Jacket to cross the finish line, recording a time of 22:28.21.
 
On the women's side of cross country, four Yellow Jackets made it into the top-five placements in the women's 5k category. The Yellow Jacket ladies were led by Xiomara Robinson, who finished in first place with a final time of 18:32.17. Sylvia Brown finished next, running into second place after recording a 19:33.01 finishing time. Katie Turpin followed her teammates into the top-three with a third-place time of 20:40.65. Elizabeth Farris came in next to secure another top-five finish for the Yellow Jackets, crossing the finish line at 20:42.33 to place fourth. Katie Knutson (21:05.08) and Evie Boyd (21:15.08) placed ninth and tenth, respectively to round out the women's cross-country appearances at the meet.
