Black Hills State women's soccer fell to CSU Pueblo, 1-0 Friday night under the lights at Ronnie Theisz Field.
The Yellow Jackets (1-6-2) totaled five shots in the game and two on goal, led by
Emma Avery who had two shots including one on goal.
Allie Brown also had a shot on goal while
Lexi Crow and
Darby Whiteley each put up shots.
In between the pipes,
Makayla Dannelly faced nine shots and grabbed three saves.
Both teams got off to a slow start, trading possessions, but neither applying much offensive pressure. BHSU got a shot off in first as Crow missed wide left in the 31st minute.
Neither team would find the back of the net in the first half, as teams went into the break locked at 0-0.
CSU Pueblo came out of halftime pressuring, and eventually scored in the 55th minute to take a 1-0 lead.
The Yellow Jackets applied some pressure themselves in the later part of the second half, putting up three shots. Avery put up a shot on goal in the 53rd minute, and so did Brown in the 62nd, but the Thunderwolves would go on to win 1-0.
