DENVER, Colo. – Black Hills State cross country hits the road this weekend for the 2023 RMAC Championship meet on Saturday, Oct. 21, which will be hosted by MSU Denver at Washington Park.
The Yellow Jacket women will compete in a 6k race that is scheduled to start at 10:45 a.m., while the BHSU men will follow in the men's 8k event that begins at 11:35 a.m., with an awards ceremony to take place following the conclusion of the men's 8k.
The RMAC Runner of the Year awards will be presented to the first-place finisher of each race, while RMAC Freshman of the Year honors will be presented to each event's top-finishing freshman competitor. RMAC All-Conference teams will be determined by the results of each event with the top 14 finishers earning first-team distinctions, and the 15th through 28th-place finishers earning second-team accolades.
Spectators will be permitted entrance to the RMAC Cross Country Championships at no charge and can follow along with live results and course maps, which are located on the RMAC Cross Country Championship page.
Junior runners
Lincoln Fleischman and
Tim Brown, while not competing at the RMAC Championships in Denver, will head to Yankton, South Dakota for the Mount Mary Lancer Invite in preparation for the NCAA DII South Central Regionals.
