COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Black Hills State women's track and field was selected to finish ninth in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) 2023-24 Preseason Coaches' Poll, which was released by the league offices on Monday morning.
The Yellow Jacket ladies secured 75 points in the poll and were ahead of MSU Denver (67), Fort Lewis (43), Colorado Chrisitan (42), Westminster (40), and South Dakota Mines (34) in respective order. Topping the list for the RMAC women's teams were Colorado Mines (153 points, six first-place votes), UC-Colorado Springs (150 points, five first-place votes), and Adams State (141 points, two first-place votes).
BHSU will see six letterwinners from last season's squad return to the lineup in the 2023-24 season while adding five new faces to the roster, which includes three freshman athletes and two transfer students.
BHSU will see the women's track and field team kick off the 2023-24 indoor season on Saturday, Dec. 2 at 10 a.m. from the Donald E. Young Center Fieldhouse for the 2023 Yellow Jacket Holiday Open.
