Black Hills State women's basketball senior Danica Kocer has been selected to the 2022-23 CSC Academic All-District team, which was announced on Tuesday morning.

4.000 GPA – Chemistry/Composite Science Education
Kocer has been one of the top scorers for Black Hills State throughout the season and currently sits with 13.0 points per game. Kocer, who has played in 22 games this season while starting in 19 of them, holds a 43.6 percent mark from the field and a 42.1 percent mark from beyond the arc. The Sioux Falls native also holds a 4.000 GPA and is studying chemistry and composite science education.
 
Danica Kocer was also named to the RMAC Academic Honor Roll, RMAC All-Academic First Team, and the 2022-23 RMAC women's basketball Academic Player of the Year for her performance on the court and in the classroom.

The 2022 Academic All-District® men's and women's teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.

The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2022-23 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA national office.
