Black Hills State women's soccer played until the final whistle in a close 2-1 loss to MSU Billings Thursday afternoon.
The Yellow Jackets (2-3, 0-0 RMAC) put up four shots in the final 15 minutes of play, including a goal in the 79th minute as they made a late push.
The team's goal came from
Hailey Warren for her second of the season.
Paige Hill tallied two shots including one shot on the goal on the day, while
Jayda Hammer (2),
Allie Brown, and
Sophie Brassard all recorded shots.
Between the pipes,

MSUB opened the scoring with a goal in the 18th minute to move ahead 1-0. They put up nine total shots in the first half to BHSU's none.
The second half was a different story, as the Yellow Jackets put up seven shots compared to MSUB's three shots with both team finding net.
After MSUB extended to a 2-0 lead in the 53rd minute, Hill got off a pair of shots, including one on goal, in the 54th and 57th minute. A Hammer shot in the 65th minute, followed by back-to-back looks in from Brassard and Hammer in the 77th and 78th minute kept the pressure on MSUB until the team was able to break through with a Warren goal in the 79th minute.
The Yellow Jacket offense kept pressing, getting one more shot off in the final minute, but would ultimately run out of time as the game went final 2-1 in favor of MSUB.
