Black Hills State women's soccer sets its sights on Carroll College and Minot State, coming off a strong opening weekend.
The Yellow Jackets will travel to Billings, Mont. to take on Carroll College on Thursday, Sept. 7 at 4 p.m., and then Minot State on Saturday, Sept. 9 at 12 p.m.
BHSU got off to a record-setting start to the season last weekend, taking down Dakota Wesleyan 6-0 on Saturday to set a program single-game record for most goals in a game. Then on Sunday, their program-best five first-half goals led to the defeat of Mount Marty, 5-0.

So far this season Carroll College is 2-0, coming off wins over Northwestern College (Aug. 26) and the University of Providence (Sept. 7). Last season the Saints went 9-6-4 overall and 6-4 2 in their conference to make an appearance in the CCC tournament.
The Yellow Jackets have faced Carroll College once before, resulting in a 1-0 loss in 2019.

After a 9-3-9 season in 2022 that saw Minot State advance to the NSIC Championship game, the Beavers are off to an early 1-0 start to the 2023 season after a 2-1 win over Minnesota Crookston last Sunday.
Dating back to 2016, the Yellow Jackets have faced MSU five times, and are 0-4-1 in those games. Their most recent matchup came last season, which saw a 1-1 tie in Spearfish.
