SPEARFISH, S.D. – Head coach
Ashlyn Englehorn and the Black Hills State University softball program announced their 2025 schedule on Tuesday morning, consisting of 52 contests, 44 of which are against Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference foes. During the RMAC slate, the schedule will feature a 4-game series against each opponent, a pair of doubleheaders in a 2-day stretch. Highlighting the Yellow Jackets schedule will be three series, 12 games, against opponents who qualified for the 2024 NCAA Division II Softball Tournament, which includes match-ups against Colorado Mesa, Colorado Christian, and Regis.

The 2025 Black Hills State schedule will get underway up north when they visit Minot, North Dakota, for the Minot State Invite. BHSU will begin the trip with a doubleheader against UMary on January 31
st, followed by a pair of match-ups against Minot State on February 1
st, and ends with a doubleheader against MSU Moorhead on February 2
nd.

The RMAC slate begins midway through the month of February as the 15
th and 16
th will feature doubleheaders at Adams State, prior to the Yellow Jackets making their home debut to close out the month on February 22
nd and 23
rd against CSU Pueblo.

A busy month of March on the road begins with a trip south to New Mexico Highlands on March 1
st and 2
nd before a quick return to Yellow Jacket Field on March 8
th and 9
th against Chadron State. A standalone non-conference doubleheader on March 11
th at Montana State Billings starts a stretch of three consecutive series away from home, which also includes match-ups at Regis on March 15
th and 16
th, and MSU Denver on March 22
nd and 23
rd. The month ends on March 29
th and 30
th with a 4-game home series against Colorado School of Mines.

The final month of the regular season starts with another trip back to the Denver metro area, facing off against Colorado Christian on April 5
th and 6
th. BHSU will then host two of the final three series of the year at home in Spearfish, welcoming UCCS to town on April 12
th and 13
th before the final road trip of the year at Fort Lewis on April 18
th and 19
th. The year concludes at Yellow Jacket Field on April 26
th and 27
th against the reigning RMAC champions of Colorado Mesa.
