LAS VEGAS, N.M. – Led by a freshman in both races on Saturday, October 26, the Black Hills State University men's and women's cross country teams ran to 12
th and tenth place finishes respectively with point totals of 312 and 315. The men's program was led by
Dominic Eberle who posted a career-best 8K time of 26:04.3 for 55
th place while the women's program was led by
Emma Hofmeister who clocked a career-best 6K time of 22:14.9 for 51
st place at the Gene Torres Golf Course.

HOW IT HAPPENED – MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY
- A trio of Yellow Jackets packed together to lead all Black Hills State runners at the RMAC Championships, led by Dominic Eberle who ran to a career-best 8K time of 26:04.3 as he crossed the line 55th overall. Within five seconds of Eberle were both Marcos Valerio and Turner Christians who collected times of 26:07.5 and 26:09.7 respectively for 57th and 60th place.
- Rounding out the five runners for BHSU at the Gene Torres Golf Course was Landrum Wiley and Alberto Spotted. Wiley posted a time of 27:19.4 for 88th place, while Spotted made his season debut with a 92nd place finish and a time of 27:22.4.

HOW IT HAPPENED – WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY
- The pair of Emma Hofmeister and Evie Boyd led the Black Hills State women's team at the RMAC Championships as they posted career-best 6K times of 22:14.9 for 51st place and 22:17.8 for 53rd place respectively. In just her second race of her collegiate career, Gracie Craig ran in her first 6K race as a Yellow Jacket as she notched a time of 22:43.1 for 63rd place.
- The fourth runner in the BHSU lineup was Abigail Robberson as she ran to a time of 23:53.1 for 85th place, while Emma Smith rounded out the team score with a 91st place finish and a career-best 6K time of 24:16.6. The final Yellow Jacket runner in the race was Brynn Hillman who ran in her second race of her collegiate career, clocking a time of 24:54.1 for 98th place.

Black Hills State will be back in action once again this upcoming weekend on Saturday, November 2, at the Bauer XC Classic hosted by South Dakota Mines. The day begins with the men's race at 10 a.m., while the women's race follows at 10:45 a.m. at the Hart Ranch Golf Club in Rapid City.
