SPEARFISH, S.D. – The Black Hills State University cross country program will be sending a pair of men and four women's student-athletes to the nearby Bauer XC Classic on Saturday, November 2, hosted by South Dakota Mines. The men's race is slated for a 10 a.m. start time, while the women's is set for 10:45 a.m. at the Hart Ranch Golf Club outside of Rapid City.

BLACK HILLS STATE MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY STORYLINES
- Black Hills State has started the season with a total of four of top-10 finishes, winning both the Blue Hawk Invitational and the Mount Marty Cross Country Invitationals while also adding a third place finish at the Gage McSpadden Memorial and a ninth place finish at the UAH Chargers Cross Country Invitational. In their most recent outing, the Yellow Jackets finished 12th at the RMAC Championships with a total of 312 points.
- Wyatt Ostler made his season debut last weekend at the Mount Marty Invite, running to a 17th place finish with an 8K time of 27:14.79 for his second career top-20 result. His career-best 8K time occurred last season at the Bauer XC Classic as he posted a fourth place finish and crossed the line with a mark of 26:46.5.
- Caden Strasser will be running in his third race of the season and the first since September. He holds a pair of top-50 finishes this season with a 21st place finish at the Blue Hawk Invitational where he ran to an 8K time of 28:33.6 for 21st place and 50th place finish at the Gage McSpadden Memorial where he crossed the finish line with a 6K mark of 20:52.2. His career-best 8K time occurred at last season's Bauer XC Classic as he ran to a mark of 27:37.4 for tenth place.
- Brian Medigovich is in his fourth season leading the Yellow Jacket cross country programs as the Director of Track & Field and Cross Country.

BLACK HILLS STATE WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY STORYLINES
- Black Hills State started the season with a total of four of top-10 finishes, which included winning the Blue Hawk Invitational with a perfect score of 15 points, while adding a second place finish at the Gage McSpadden Memorial, and tenth place finishes at both the UAH Chargers Cross Country Invitational and the RMAC Championships.
- Norah Entzi has also collected a trio of top-25 finishes this season for the Yellow Jackets, which included a career-best 4K time of 16:08.5 for 22nd place at the Gage McSpadden Memorial, an eighth place finish with a 6K time of 24:21.2 at the Blue Hawk Invitational, and most recently a career-best 6K time of 24:08.6 for 14th place at the Mount Marty Cross Country Invitational. This season she has also posted a career-best 6K time of 24:19.2 for 156th place at the UAH Chargers Cross Country Invitational.
- Brynn Hillman will be running in her third race of the season, as she is coming of a career-best 6k time at the RMAC Championships where she ran to a 98th place finish as she crossed the finish line with a time of 24:54.1. She began her collegiate career in September with a 16th place finish at the Blue Hawk Invitational with a 6K time of 24:53.0.
- Kadence Baun will be running in her second race of the season and the first since she began her collegiate career with a 36th place finish at the Blue Hawk Invitational as she posted an 6K time of 27:52.6.
- Brooklyn Brooks will be making her collegiate debut in the race.
- Brian Medigovich is in his fourth season leading the Yellow Jacket cross country programs as the Director of Track & Field and Cross Country.
