VERMILLION, S.D. – Battling windy conditions on the campus of the University of South Dakota (USD) at the USD Early Bird, the Black Hills State University track and field teams as
Alivia Weathers (heptathlon) and
Hanah Sullivan (shot put) took top-10 finishes at the meet.
A pair of Yellow Jacket heptathlon athletes leave this weekend sitting top-10 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) in the heptathlon. Weathers (So., Yuma, Colo.) finished sixth this weekend with 3,624 points.
Erin Weibel (So., Casper, Wyo.) finished the meet with 2,977 points.
Additionally, Sullivan (So., Sheridan, Wyo.) took a ninth-place finish in the shot put with a throw of 12.66 meters.
On the men's side, with a 12
th-place finish in the discus
Anthony Rosenstrauch (Sr., Monument, Colo.) now sits top-10 in the RMAC this season. He had a throw of 42.96 meters.
Though competing as an unattached this season as a redshirt,
Conor McGraw (Sr., Hannah, Wyo.) was one of two athletes to post a score of 6,300+ points. He finished second at the event with 6,332 points, which the mark hit the provisional mark for the NCAA Outdoor Championships (
due to his redshirt and 'unattached' status, he will not be eligible for the NCAA Championships this season).
