SPEARFISH, S.D. – The Black Hills State University Athletics Department is excited to announce a partnership with Forum Communications on Friday afternoon in a deal that will provide state-wide coverage in South Dakota. In addition to the RMAC Network, all home Yellow Jacket events for the sports of football, women's soccer, volleyball, men's and women's basketball, and softball, will now be able to be seen on the parent company's KNBN-2 station in Rapid City and a majority will also carry over to KSFL in Sioux Falls.
"We're incredibly excited about this partnership with Forum Communications and what it means for BHSU Athletics," stated Director of Athletics Mark Nore. "Being featured state-wide gives our student-athletes and programs unique exposure, not only to fans across South Dakota but to future Yellow Jackets who can now see what our teams have to offer firsthand. This opportunity strengthens our brand, enhances our recruiting reach, and allows us to share the pride of BHSU Athletics with communities from every corner of the state."
Forum Communications, the future television home of Yellow Jacket athletics, is based out of Fargo, North Dakota, and houses affiliate stations across North Dakota, South Dakota, and Western Minnesota, as well as streaming sports on Midwest Sports+ across South Dakota, Iowa, and Minnesota. Their programming includes over 400 live, local, and exclusive sporting events, including entities such as North Dakota State University Athletics and the North Dakota High School State Tournaments.
KNBN (NewsCenter1), the most recent addition to the Forum Communications footprint, reaches households in 14 counties of Western South Dakota, while KSFL (Sioux Falls Live) will reach the remaining major markets such as Sioux Falls, Pierre, and Aberdeen, in the state's remaining 52 counties.
A linear tv schedule is not yet set at this time, but fans are encouraged to check the link above throughout the duration of the 2025-26 season for more information on where to watch the Yellow Jackets.
