INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Black Hills State University women's basketball team is one of four schools from the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) to be represented in the initial releases of the NCAA's regional rankings which will determine the teams selected to the NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Tournament this March. The South Central Region is comprised of just two conferences, the RMAC and the Lone Star Conference, which will have their conference tournament champions receive automatic bids while the remaining six spots will be selected on an at-large basis.
In today's initial release of the South Central Regional rankings the ten teams are listed in alphabetical order, while the remaining two releases on February 26 and on March 5 the teams will be ranked one through ten. The bracket for the 2025 NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Tournament will be revealed on Sunday, March 9, during a selection show on NCAA.com.
Hosted by the top team in region, the South Central Regional will be played March 13-16 as the eight teams will compete for a spot in the NCAA Division II Elite Eight that will be played March 24-28 at UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
With only two weeks remaining in the regular season the Yellow Jackets boast a record of 15-8 (11-5 RMAC) and are third place in the league standings.
