COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – On Thursday afternoon the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference announced the final weekly track & field awards of the indoor season, which included Black Hills State University freshman
Isabell Higgins receiving recognition as she was named the RMAC Women's Field Athlete of the Week. Picking up a pair of top-5 finishes at last weekend's "Golden Eagle" Last Chance and entering herself into the Yellow Jackets all-time performance list, she is the first member of the BHSU track & field program to earn a weekly conference award this indoor season and the first weekly indoor award since Breanne Fuller received the RMAC Women's Track Athlete of the Week on February 21, 2023.

- She recorded a win in the weight throw competition at last Saturday's "Golden Eagle" Last Chance as she posted a career-best mark of 16.42m (53' 10.5"), entering the school's all-time performance list with the ninth-best mark in program history.
- She added a top-5 finish in the shot put in the meet with a fourth place finish and throw of 11.76m (38' 7").
- Set to compete in both events at this weekend's RMAC Indoor Track & Field Championships, she currently ranks seventh in conference in the weight throw and is tenth in the shot put.
