COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo- The RMAC conference announced their first 2025 Pitcher and Player of the Week awards Monday afternoon. Among the honorees was
Laci Peskey, who was named the RMAC Pitcher of the Week for her performance at the Beaver Bubble Invite in Minot, North Dakota. It is her first ever RMAC accolade and first ever weekly award. It is the first RMAC weekly award for Black Hills State since 2017.

• Helped lead Black Hills State to a 2-4 record during the opening weekend of the season, including wins over Mary (7-1) and Minot State (1-0).
• She went 2-1 in the circle in her three starts during the weekend, pitching three complete games and 21.0 innings. She posted a 0.67 ERA and a 0.90 WHIP. Her ERA is currently the lowest among all RMAC pitchers.
• Allowed just 17 hits, only three runs (2 earned runs), and two walks.
• She was one of just two pitchers in all of NCAA Division II during opening weekend to throw more than 30 strikeouts in the first weekend of action, notching an RMAC leading 31 strikeouts where the next closest collected just 13 strikeouts.
• She recorded 10+ strikeouts for the first time in her career this past weekend, doing so twice with 13 against UMary and 11 against MSU Moorhead.
• Her 13 strikeouts against the Marauders were the most by a Yellow Jacket pitcher in a season opener in program history.
• She recorded her first shutout of the season in a 1-0 win over Minot State, posting 7 strikeouts and allowing just two hits and one walk.
