LOUISVILLE, Ky- The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announced their team GPA rankings and their list of over 9,000 athletes across all levels of college athletics that were named All-America Scholar Athletes. Black Hills State was ranked 16
th out of all D2 schools in team GPA with a 3.719 mark. In the list, 18 BHSU athletes were included.
Those 18 athletes are

Taylor Dowden,
Andria Fitch,
Audrey Fouras,
Tia Gease,
Anna Gietzen,
Paige Goodell,
Caitlyn Hoff,
Katelyn Jarzobski,
Carli Maley,
Gracie Oswald,
Ashlynn Pauwels,
Laci Peskey,
Carly Reyes Mims,
Lily Simmons,
Tessa Twedt, and
Tyler Whitlock.
The Yellow Jackets finished with the highest team GPA in the RMAC by almost .15 points. Colorado School of Mines was second with a team GPA of 3.570. The Yellow Jackets earned the RMAC Brechler Award for best team cumulative GPA in the conference earlier this summer.
These awards are awarded annually to students who had a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher this most recent school year. The rankings and honors recognize the academic prowess of softball teams across the Association's membership categories. Team GPAs and scholar-athletes are submitted by member head coaches.
