th season, secured their third shutout of the year while also seeing four different players find the back of the net.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Black Hills State was able to strike first in the 16th minute on a free kick opportunity as Bria Sargent found Whitney Hansen cutting towards the net in the box, and she then proceeded to place the ball in the bottom left corner of the net to take a 1-0 lead.
- The Yellow Jackets were able to extend their lead in the 28th minute as Jayda Hammer was able to sneak a shot into the top left corner of the net off an assist from Leah Day. The Green & Gold took the 2-0 advantage into the halftime break, out-shooting Dakota State by a 13-5 margin in the first 45 minutes of action.
- Day was able to find the back of the net herself in the 56th minute as a pass by Ella Cornelius was deflected off a Trojan defender and back to Day, who then placed a shot into the bottom right corner of the goal from the top of the box.
- Rian Barthel was able to keep the shutout alive by making her lone save of the night in the 77th minute as she made a diving stop to knock the ball away on a shot by Nichole Corona who made a cut back inside past a defender at the top right corner of the net.
- BHSU capped off the scoring in the match with a goal in the 89th minute, as Cornelius sent a cross pass to Peyton Hill, who then placed the ball over the outstretched hands of Sierra Verplancke into the top right corner to make it a 4-0 game.
- Black Hills State held the advantage in shots (30-7), and shots-on-goal (5-1), while the teams were even in both saves (1-1) and corner kicks (3-3)
