RAPID CITY, S.D. –  The Black Hills State Yellow Jackets were unable to move up the leaderboard in round two and shot a team score of 350 (+62) en route to a 36-hole team score of 696 (+120). BHSU was bunched up as a team with their top two golfers tied and their three through five golfers tied. The cold weather at The Golf Club at Red Rocks made it a difficult challenge for all teams as four teams shot +90 or above.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• Gardner was unable to continue her solid run today as she shot an 87 (+15) over the round. Overall, she shot a 168 (+24) to sit in a tie for 20^th place. She started off solid only being +1 through five holes and then had four pars on the back nine as well. She ended with seven pars and a birdie in her round.
• Brown tied Gardner for the second day in a row with an 87 (+15). She tied Gardner with a 168 (+24) and also joined her in a tie for 24^th place. Outside of one hole on the back nine she was only +3 over the other eight holes in the back half. She also had three pars on the front nine totaling eight pars.
• Megan Robb improved today by shooting an 87 (+15) as well and combining for a 181 (+37) and in a tie for 37^th place. Robb had a 42 (+6) on the back nine and had a stretch of five straight pars from holes 12 to 16. She finished with seven pars.
• Cheyenne Shade finished in a tie for 37^th as well and shot an 89 (+17) for a 36-hole score of 181 (+37) and in a tie for 37^th place. She had a strong finish to her round with two birdies in the final five holes including a birdie on her last hole where she stuck a tee shot on a par three to two feet. She also had three pars on the back nine.
• Ava Kalanek also matched Shade for the second day in a row by shooting an 89 (+17) and tying her at 181 (+37). She joined Shade and Robb in a tie for 37^th place. Kalanek had seven pars on the day including four on the back nine.
• Reagan Hatling improved from her first round score by shooting a 101 (+29). She finished with a 206 (+62) and in 43^rd place. Hatling had two pars on the day including 17 and hole four.
