ELKHORN, Neb. –  BHSU's top four golfers finished within four shots of each other as BHSU put up an eighth-place performance at the Indian Creek Shootout on day one. The Yellow Jackets shot 334 (+46) over the first day to sit above one NSIC team going into round two. The Yellow Jackets had a great back nine after a rougher front nine with all of the top four golfers shooting a 41 (+5) on that nine.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• Megan Robb led the way for the Jackets with an 82 (+10) on the day. The consistency shined through as she shot a 41 (+5) on each nine of the day and almost got inside the top 20, but is sitting in a tie for 21^st. After a rough first hole, Robb went +4 over the next 13 holes with birdies on hole number two and hole 13. She made four bogeys, three pars, and a birdie on each nine.
• Madison Brown was next for the Yellow Jackets with an 83 (+11). She sits in a tie for 29^th after the solid round. She had a rougher start to the day, but from holes seven to 15, she had seven pars in nine holes and shot a 41 (+5) on the back nine and a 42 (+6) on the front nine with nine pars.
• Shelbi Gardner pulled out an 84 (+12) with a 41 (+5) on the back nine. She currently sits in a tie for 35^th. Gardner had a stretch of five straight pars on the front nine and had four pars and a birdie on the back nine. The birdie on 15 was the highlight of the day as she pared nine holes with a birdie.
• Cheyenne Shade finished in a tie for 39^th as she shot an 85 (+13) and had seven pars on the day. Shade also shot a 41 (+5) on the back nine and had five pars on just that side with only one hole worse than bogey. She ended her day with pars on her last two holes to keep her 85 or better.
• Reagan Hatling shot a 99 (+27) on the day and improved her streak of rounds better than the previous to two. She made three pars on the day including a five on the par five sixth hole.

The Yellow Jackets will play the final day of the fall season and the final day of the Indian Creek Shootout tomorrow as BHSU sits within ten shots of three other teams with a chance to make a move tomorrow. The tournament will have a shotgun start starting at 10 AM with BHSU teeing off of holes 11 to 15.
