BROOMFIELD, Colo.- The Yellow Jackets started the day with a loss in their suspended game from Sunday afternoon, where the game was suspended due to darkness in the seventh inning stretch. However, after that loss, they gained a lot of momentum going into the final two games and BHSU took advantage, holding off an Adams push,
Sammie Kaufman-Warner walked off the Grizzlies in the bottom of the eighth in game one and then the Yellow Jackets offense caught on fire in game two en route to a run-rule victory in the fifth inning.

HOW IT HAPPENED – GAME 2
- Carly Reyes Mims walked to begin the bottom of the first inning and then Kaufman-Warner walked to put two on. Caylee Mann singled to load the bases and with two outs, Carli Maley walked to bring home a run and make it 1-0.
- No one scored in the second inning, but Nevaeh Garcia singled to begin the inning and Jayde Garcia walked to get her to second after a dropped third strike that allowed both baserunners to advance, Kaylee Eyl singled to score both and give ASU a 2-1 lead. In the bottom of that inning, Delaney Milanowski reached on an error, and advanced to second on another Maley walk. Alyssa Wong singled to score Milanowski and tie the game at 2-2 heading into the fourth inning.
- In the top of the fourth, Denae Ojeda singled and stole second. She then scored on a single by Devree Godinez. N. Garcia reached on an error that allowed Godinez to make it to second and she scored on a two-out single by Emily Sauvageau with Garcia getting thrown out at third to end the inning, but not before Adams took a 4-2 lead..
- In the bottom of the fifth, Fouras walked with one out and made it to third on good baserunning when Anna Gietzen bunt singled. She scored on a Wong single to make 4-3.
- Ojeda singled with one out and made it to second on a walk by Godinez. Both of them scored on a single by N. Garcia and a throwing error. This gave Adams a 6-3 lead. After a strikeout, Sauvageau singled to score Garcia and make it 7-3 through 5.5 innings. Jessica Melendez, Kaufman-Warner, and Caylee Mann all singled to begin the bottom of the sixth inning. This scored Melendez and made it 7-4. With one out, Maley singled and a throwing error allowed both Kaufman-Warner and Mann to score to make it 7-6. They couldn't get closer and it would head to seventh with BHSU down by one.
- In the top of the seventh inning, Bedlan got the first two batters out on two pitches before allowing a single to Ojeda and a stolen base that got her to second. Godinez also singled which scored Ojeda and despite more traffic, that's all they got as the took an 8-6 lead. Right before the start of the bottom of the seventh, the game was suspended due to darkness and so at 10 AM on Monday morning, BHSU and ASU started the bottom of the seventh, where the Yellow Jackets got one baserunner, but were unable to score and Adams won 8-6.

HOW IT HAPPENED – GAME 1
- In the first innings, Wong walked with one out, and advanced to second on a wild pitch with two outs. Kaufman-Warner doubled to score Wong, but was out trying to turn it into a triple putting BHSU up 1-0 early.
- After no runs were scored in the second or top of the third, BHSU came up to the plate in the bottom half and Audrey Fouras walked on four pitches while Simmons singled on a bunt to advance Fouras. Wong walked on four pitches to load the bases and with one out, Melendez doubled to score Fouras and Simmons and give BHSU a 3-0 lead. Kaufman-Warner immediately matched that with a single to score both Wong and Melendez and gave BHSU a 5-0 lead.
- Paige Goodell was dealing up to the sixth inning giving up only four hits and no runs on seven strikeouts, but she allowed a one-out double to Aubree Davis and then walked Ojeda and allowed a single that score a run on an errant throw. Godinez reached on a fielder's choice that scored Ojeda to make it 5-2 and then a pitching change brought in Dakota Poag in replace of Goodell. Jayde Garcia scored on a wild pitch and Godinez advanced to third on a separate wild pitch. Johnson walked and advanced to second before a sacrifice fly scored Godinez to make it 5-4 and a single by Kaylee Eyl made it 5-5 when Johnson scored.
- No one scored in the seventh and Geschwill pitched a clean seventh and eighth innings. A quick strikeout and lineout put BHSU at two outs in the bottom of the eighth with Kaufman-Warner up to bat. She smoked a ball down the left field line that the fielder dove for but couldn't get. The ball rolled to the wall and Kaufman-Warner was able to score on a walk-off inside the park home run to give BHSU the 6-5 win.

- BHSU got off to a quick start on Adams ace Aubree Davis. Reyes Mims tripled and Wong singled and advanced to second on obstruction with Reyes Mims staying at third. With one out, Kaufman-Warner singled to score Reyes Mims and continue her strong day. Mann hit a sacrifice fly to score Wong and advance Kaufman-Warner to second. Maley singled to get Kaufman-Warner to third and Fouras doubled to score Kaufman-Warner and Maley, which gave BHSU an early 4-0 lead.
- Kaitlyn Geschwill was dominant. She only gave up one hit, she had a no-hitter through three innings before giving up a walk and a single to begin the fourth inning. With one out, Isabel Rodriguez reached on a fielding error that loaded the bases and after striking out Ojeda, Geschwill hit Ali Davis on the elbow guard to score a run and make it 4-1. She then struck out N. Garcia to end the inning.
- The bottom of the fifth was lights out for BHSU. Wong led off the inning with a double and advanced to third on a Melendez single. Kaufman-Warner singled to score Wong and Melendez, who had stolen second and give BHSU a 6-1 lead. Warner stole second with one out and Maley reached on a fielder's choice. Fouras walked to load the bases and Gracie Oswald singled to score Kaufman-Warner and keep the bases loaded. After a bunch of changes, Lily Simmons hit a two-RBI single to make it 9-1 and walk it off for the Yellow Jackets in a five-inning run rule.
