BHSU was able to really get strong offensive performances in order to win those games. BHSU has had a combined 30 runs in the three games BHSU won and were undefeated when scoring more than five runs. The pitching staff held down the fort too only allowing 24 earned runs and striking out 39 batters. However, they did walk 32 batters which turned out to be many of their runs allowed.

  • Kaitlyn Geschwill, a newcomer for the Yellow Jackets, made probably the biggest impact a newcomer can make in her first weekend with her new team: she won RMAC Pitcher of the Week. The Central Lakes College transfer had a huge weekend out of the bullpen for BHSU. She pitched in five of the six games, threw 15 innings with a 2-1 record, only allowing two earned runs and seven hits on a .93 ERA and 22 strikeouts. She ranks second in the country in pitching appearances (5), fourth in the country in strikeouts (22), eighth in the country in victories (2), 11th in the country in strikeouts per seven innings (10.3), and 18th in the country in innings pitched (15.00).

She had 12 total bases, seven hits, five RBI, with a home run, and two doubles. On the fielding side, she had one caught stealing. She was 31st in the country in doubles (2), 33rd in home runs (1), 35th in hits (7), and 39th in total bases (12).  She had a career-high four hits twice going 4-4 in both games against New Mexico Highlands and Colorado School of Mines. She is currently on a six-game hitting streak and has two RBIs in two of the six games.
  •  Alyssa Wong was named to All-RMAC Gold Glove team and started this year with a .500 on-base percentage with five walks, four hits, three runs scored, two doubles, and one RBI. She had a hit in three games this year and two runs scored in the final game of the weekend.
  • Head Coach Ashlyn Englehorn is the first Jacket head coach to win Coach of the Year since Amy Gurney did it in the DAC in 2008.
