COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo- The RMAC conference announced their Pitcher and Player of the Week awards Tuesday afternoon. Among the honorees was Sophia Honse, who was named the RMAC Pitcher of the Week for her performance at home versus Regis. It is Honse's first ever weekly award in her career and she is only the fourth pitcher in the D2 era for BHSU and fifth player in BHSU history to win a Pitcher of the Week Award. She joins Kaitlyn Geschwill as Pitcher of the Week award winner this year and also joins Sammie Kaufman-Warner as a weekly award winner. It is the first time in program history that three different players have taken home weekly awards and two different pitchers have taken home Pitcher of the Week awards.

• Honse had easily the best weekend of her season and turned that into helping BHSU pull of three out of four versus Regis.
• Honse went 2-0 pitching two complete games and having an ERA of 0.00
• She pitched 14 innings, allowed 14 hits, and allowed zero earned runs while striking out 8
• The two complete games were the first of her season and it was only her second and third starts of the year.
• Honse pitched her first complete game in game two where she had a 0.00 ERA with not allowing an earned run, allowing nine hits, striking out six, walking one, and leaving nine runners on base.
• Honse then came out dominant in game four, where she had a no-hitter through 3.1 innings and only allowed three hits until the final inning. She had seven innings pitched, six hits, no earned run and only two walks and two strikeouts. 
• Overall, Honse allowed a batting average of .120 with runners on base only allowing three hits in 25 at bats. She also only allowed two extra base hits with one double and one triple.
