Goddard, Adamski Named First Team Academic All-RMAC

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference announced the 2025-26 Indoor Women's Track & Field Academic All-RMAC Team and the RMAC Academic Honor Roll on Thursday afternoon. The league recognized 25 individuals as First Team Academic All-RMAC and in total 197 received RMAC Academic Honor Roll recognition. The Black Hills State University women's indoor track & field team saw both Cassidy Goddard and Gretchen Adamski named First Team Academic All-RMAC, while they were also joined by 13 teammates on the RMAC Academic Honor Roll.

Cassidy Goddard notched a Second Team All-RMAC honor during the 2025-26 season, recording a fifth place finish in the weight throw with a career-best mark of 16.63m (54' 6.75") that ranks seventh all-time on the Yellow Jacket Performance List. The all-conference accolade capped an indoor season that saw the Haxtun, Colorado, thrower notch two titles in the event at both the Birds and the Bees Holiday Invitational and the Myrle Hanson Open, while also tallying six top-5 finishes and nine top-10 finishes between the weight throw and the shot put. In the shot put she posted a season-best mark of 11.54m (37' 10.5") at the Myrle Hanson Open. Goddard is currently pursuing a degree in exercise science.

A Spearfish native, Gretchen Adamski has helped bolster the Black Hills State pole vault squad into one of the top in the RMAC. She entered the season having cleared 11' just twice during her first collegiate season, however, during her sophomore indoor campaign she cleared 11' in all six meets and ultimately cleared 12' in each of her final four meets of the year. She tallied wins in the event at both the WSC NCAA Showdown and the CSC Don Holst Open, finished second on three occasions, and was fourth once in a field of 27 competitors at the SDSU Indoor Classic. She concluded the indoor portion of the season by setting a new career-best in the pole vault by clearing 3.82m (12' 6.25") for second place at the RMAC Indoor Track & Field Championships, earning First Team All-RMAC recognition and setting an NCAA Provisional mark. The mark at the conference championships remained the second-best mark in the league by a pole vaulter for the 2025-26 indoor season and ranks fourth all-time on the Yellow Jacket Performance List. Adamski is currently pursuing a degree in exercise science.

Joining Goddard and Adamski as selections on the RMAC Academic Honor Roll include Saraya Afrank, Kadence Baun, Lauryn Bennett, Alessandra Broussard, Hope Bryant, Sierra Hopp, Abigail Robberson, Payton Sheehan, Hanah Sullivan, Morgan Sumption, Alivia Weathers, Erin Weibel, and Gracie Wilts.

The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Academic Honor Roll recognizes student-athletes in each conference-sponsored sport who academically maintain at least a 3.30 cumulative grade-point average, have completed two consecutive semesters at their current institution, and have used a season of competition.

Each institution's athletic communications directors nominate student-athletes who academically maintain at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average, along with the other criteria for the Academic Honor Roll, for recognition on the First Team Academic All-RMAC in each sport. The league's athletic communications directors for that sport vote to compose the First Team Academic All-RMAC and select the Academic Player of the Year. They are not permitted to vote for their own student-athletes.
