SPEARFISH, S.D. - The Black Hills State University men's and women's rodeo teams and head coach Glen Lammers announced the fall portion of their 2026-27 schedule on Thursday, featuring a total of five rodeos, two of which will be a part of a double rodeo. The Yellow Jackets qualified four to the College National Finals Rodeo earlier this summer with a second place team finish in the Great Plains Region on the women's side, highlighted by a regional barrel racing title for Jayda Reinert.
The Black Hills State teams will begin their season with a trio of rodeos in the month of September. The Yellow Jackets first make their trip east across the Great Plains Region to compete at the Falcon Frontier Days Rodeo hosted by the University of Wisconsin-River Falls on September 11-12. Then the action shifts south with a double rodeo in Sutherland, Nebraska, the Mid-Plains Community College Stampede on September 17-19.
The fall will then come to a close with a pair of rodeos in the month of October, first as the Yellow Jackets travel to Mandan, North Dakota, for the Mystic Stampede hosted by Bismarck State College on October 2-3, followed by the fall finale in Fort Dodge, Iowa, at the Triton Stampede hosted by Iowa Central Community College on October 9-10.
The spring portion of the Black Hills State University men's and women's rodeo schedule will be announced later this winter.
