SPEARFISH, S.D. - The Black Hills State University women's soccer program remained unbeaten on Sunday afternoon as they earned a 3-1 victory over Adams State at the Black Hills Power Sports Complex. With the win the Yellow Jackets stand as one of just two RMAC schools undefeated as they also captured their school record fifth win of the season. Leading the way, Ivy Agee scored a goal in her fifth consecutive match, and Ally Boysen scored a goal in her fourth game in the last five matches, as the pair are the leading goal scoring duo in the RMAC.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After a pair of shot attempts in the first ten minutes of action, Black Hills State struck first in the 15th minute as they capitalized on a corner kick opportunity. Bailey Smith collected the ball as Adam State was attempting to clear it, fired another pass into the back post to Zoe Evans, who headed the ball down into the left corner of the net for the first goal of the match to give BHSU a 1-0 advantage.
- The Yellow Jackets controlled the action throughout the opening half, holding a 9-4 advantage in shots and a 3-0 edge in corner kicks. The teams were even with three shots on frame a piece. Rian Barthel kept the Grizzlies off the scoreboard in the opening half by making back-to-back saves in the 44th minute as she snagged a shot in the upper left corner from Denali Levin and then grabbing a shot towards the center of the net from Aja Listar.
- The Green & Gold struck twice in the first five minutes of the second half to again swing the momentum in their direction, first as Ally Boysen scored her third game-winning goal of the year, as she fired a deflected throw in pass into the right corner of the net from ten yards out on the left side of the box to make it a 2-0 match in the 47th minute. Then moments later Ivy Agee scored her RMAC leading ninth goal of the season, extending her streak to five consecutive matches with a goal, as she received a pass from Samantha Nunez, attacked and worked her way through the defense and fired a shot from 25 yards out into the left corner of the net to make it a 3-0 game in the 51st minute.
- Barthel made her fourth and final save of the match in the 84th minute as Levin took a shot from roughly 50 yards out as she stopped the ball off a pair of bounces.
- The Grizzlies avoided being shutout for the third consecutive match as Lauren Ocampo sent the ball into the box, which was deflected by Barthel and then Listar placed it into the back of the net to make it a 3-1 game in the 87th minute.
