COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.- The RMAC conference announced their Offensive, Defensive and Setter of the Week awards Monday afternoon. Among the honorees was
Keira Thompson, who was named RMAC Defensive Player of the Week. It is the second RMAC weekly honor for a Yellow Jackets in the last two years and the second Defensive Player of the Week in the past two years with
Ellie Thomas earning the award last year in week seven. This is Thompson's first ever RMAC award.

- Thompson helped lead BHSU defensively for the 1-1 record this weekend against Christian and Pueblo
- She led the team in digs with 44 over the weekend with an impressive 6.29 digs per set and 38 total receptions.
- She had 20 digs in each of the two matchups having 24 digs versus Christian in the win and 20 versus Pueblo.
- She averaged 6.0 digs per set versus Christian, and 6.66 digs per set versus Pueblo.
- She now sits in seventh in total digs (187) and digs per set (4.25) in the RMAC.
- Also added nine total assists.
