Scottsbluff, Neb. – The Black Hills State University softball team lost two games to Western Nebraska Community College on Thursday in Scottsbluff, Neb.
The Yellow Jackets fell 5-0 in the first game. Karly Ackerman was 3-for-3 in the contest while Aleishia Giesey and Krista Gleiforst each added singles.
In the second game of the day, the Black Hills State offense was able to get five runs on the board, but the Yellow Jackets were defeated 13-5. Giesey was 2-for-3 in the game with two RBIs. Alyssa Graziano and Kelsie Chambers each had RBI singles.
Black Hills State will host its home opener on Saturday, March 19 against Great Falls. The doubleheader is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. MT.
