Tucson, Ariz. – The Black Hills State University softball team defeated Minnesota West Community College 9-1 today in five innings in an exhibition game.
"Today was a good day for our younger to get some playing time," said head coach Amy Gurney. "We scheduled this game with the intent of getting some experience for our younger players and give them a chance to get into real game situations."
Nikki Chacon was the winning pitcher in today's contest. Black Hills State will face Peru State and Trinity International tomorrow in Tucson.
