Spearfish, S.D. – The Black Hills State University softball team picked up two wins today over Jamestown to move the team's record to 7-13 overall and 2-2 in Dakota Athletic Conference.
In the first game, the Yellow Jackets were able to capitalize on two Jimmy errors to come away with the 2-1 victory. Black Hills State posted six hits and no errors in the game. Freshman first baseman Kelsie Chambers finished the game 2-for-2.
The second game saw two homeruns from junior Aleishia Giesey. Giesey homered on back-to-back at bats and finished the game with four RBIs. The Yellow Jackets were able to overcome five errors in the contest to come away with the 10-9 win.
Black Hills State will return to action Saturday, April 9 as they face-off against Minot State in Spearfish, S.D. First pitch of the doubleheader is scheduled for 1 p.m. MT.
