Denver, Colo. - The Black Hills State volleyball team lost its first Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference matchup against No. 25 Regis University on Friday evening.
Despite tough play, the Yellow Jackets lost in straight-sets (18-25, 24-26, 17-25).
Meghan Sipe was the catalyst for BHSU, recording 13 kills, four digs and two blocks. Junior Amy O'Neill added eight kills. Kelsey Olson had a team-high 10 digs. Darbi Yost and Jackie Fagnant each had 17 and 16 assists, respectively.
The Rangers were led by Caitie Breaux and Katie Klein who had a combined 21 kills. Jaclyn Williamson recorded 26 assists.
The Yellow Jackets will face off against No. 9 Metro State on Saturday afternoon at 4.
