Canyon, TX – The Black Hills State University cross country teams wrapped up their season at the NCAA D2 South Central Regional Championships. The women finished 10
th while the men finished 11
th. Adams State won the women's race while CO Mines won the men's contest.

The women's squad was led by
Xiomara Robinson who finished the six kilometer race in 36
th with a time of 23:11. She ran a steady consistent race.
Abbie Fredrick was right behind in 38
th with a time 23:16. She grinded the second 3 kilometers to move up 16 spots. Next across the line was
Ruby Lindquist whose consistent pace put her in 62
nd with a time of 23:49.
Kelsey Van Den Hemel also grinded her way through the second half moving up ten spots to finish in 80
th  crossing the line with a time of 24:16. Rounding out the scorers for the Green and Gold was
Mayson Hudyma who cracked her way into the top 100, finishing in 99
th with a time of 24:37 after blowing past eight other competitors.
Erica Dykstra and
Nicole Allerdings both ran consistent races to finish 100
th and 142
nd respectively.

Jordan Theisen led the men through their grueling 10 kilometer race. Running a gutsy middle race bringing himself from 34
th down to 24
th, Theisen ultimately finished 27
th in 32:32 just outside of All-Region.
Keith Osowski was close behind in 36
th with a time of 32:52. He steadily picked off 20 runners, out kicking someone down the shoot to claim his spot.
Jake Iverson (75
th 33:55) and
Collin Brauer (90
th 34:21) were next across the line for the Yellow Jackets.
Chase Smith rounded out the scorers running a consistent race to take 125
th in 35:18.
Nolan Maher and
Noah Bordewyk took 144
th and 154
th respectively.

Theisen has long shot chance to receive an individual bid into the national meet. He will find out early this week. Otherwise, the Yellow Jackets will take a few weeks off before transitioning into the Distance Squad for the indoor track season.
