FORT DODGE, Iowa – The Black Hills State University rodeo teams competed at the Triton Stampede, hosted by Iowa Central Community College, this weekend. The women's team finished first, while the men's side was second. In the women's All-Around, Alyssa Lockhart took first with 275 points, while Cashae McGee won the Reserve All-Around. Chandler Comfort won the men's All-Around with 235 points.

Lockhart finished first in breakaway roping with 6.9 on two, while Courtney Peters was just behind with 7.0 on two to take second. Chanci Kraft was fifth with 3.6 on one and Emilee Pauley was sixth with 3.8 on one.

In goat tying Lockhart was second with 14.9 on two. Savana Johnston, McGee, and KeAnna Ward all tied for fourth with 15.4 on two.

In barrel racing, McGee finished second with 29.46 on two, while Sydney Theobald was third with 29.69 on two. Tayle Brink was fifth with 30.06 on two, and Joeni Lueders took second in the long go with 14.79.

Tanner Fite finished first in tie down roping with 24.0 on two, while Comfort was fifth with 25.6 on two.

In saddle bronc riding, Tayte Goodman was second with 71 on one.

Comfort finished first in team roping with 15.3 on two.

Next up for the Green and Gold will be at the Cyclone Stampede hosted by Iowa State University. The rodeo will be held in Ames, Iowa, October 18-19.
