Spearfish, SD – Despite the thermometer reading single digit temps this morning, the Black Hills State University Softball team has officially opened practice for the spring season.
"This is a brand new day for BHSU women's softball," said head coach
Marcelle Herman. "Let the challenges begin as we embrace our new 'For Each Other' culture. Our strength comes in numbers."
Last season saw the Yellow Jackets finish tenth in conference with a 10-23 RMAC record. However, a few seniors are bringing a new attitude into the season.
"Push yourself, because no one else is going to do it for you," said center
Maddie London.
The Green and Gold will open competition against Northern State in Aberdeen, SD on February first.
