Spearfish, SD – The Black Hills State University men's and women's track and field teams are set to host their final indoor meet of the season. The Stinger Open will act as tune up for the Yellow Jackets before RMAC Championships next weekend. On Friday the distance medley relay and 5000m run will be run. Action begins at 5:00pm. The full meet gets underway Saturday. Field events begin at 12:30pm while running events begin at 2:00pm.
 
"We are excited to be back home in our penultimate meet heading into the conference meet next week," said head coach Seth Mischke.  "We have some athletes in a great place to produce this weekend and hopefully we can get some more folks qualified for the conference meet."
 
As the conference meet draws closer, the following Yellow Jackets have their eyes set on the national championships as they have hit the provisional standard and are ranked in the following events:
 
Pole Vault: Whitney Scott (16^th), Hannah Hendrick (50^th)
Shot Put: Kyla Sawvell (28^th)
Weight Throw: Kyla Sawvell (10^th)
 
Heptathlon: Tristan Hepp (13^th)
