New Orleans, LA – Four members of the Black Hills State University cross country teams were named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team. In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, student athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top-25 (or 10 percent) at the NCAA Regional Championships or as an All-American at the NCAA Championships.
Jordan Theisen and
Keith Osowski were named from the men's squad while
Abbie Fredrick and
Xiomara Robinson were named from the women's squad.
Jordan Theisen, an Exercise Science major, finished 27
th at the regional meet this past fall to lead the Yellow Jackets. The indoor All-American has now focused his efforts on this track season.
Keith Osowski, a Chemistry and Biology major, finished 36
th and was the second finisher for the Yellow Jackets. He is red-shirting this indoor season.
Xiomara Robinson, a Chemistry and Biology Major, lead the Yellow Jackets at this fall's regional meet finishing 36
th. She is focusing on the 3k and 5k this indoor season.
Abbie Fredrick, an Exercise Science major, was the second finisher for the Yellow Jackets at the regional meet finishing 38
th. She has been named an RMAC track athlete of the week for the 2020 indoor season.
