COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Black Hills State softball has been picked to finish 10th in the RMAC in the conference's 2023 preseason poll, released Wednesday afternoon.
Last season, the Yellow Jackets finished with a 13-29 record which matched the most wins in a season since BHSU entered NCAA Division II in the 2011-12 season.
The 2022 team's 13 wins was a 10-win improvement from the season prior. Now, the 2023 team looks to take another step forward with the addition of five transfers and eight incoming freshmen to the program's seven returners.
The 2023 season begins Saturday, Feb. 18 with a doubleheader at Colorado Mines in Golden, Colo.
