Randy Doran are pleased to announce the addition of Leyni Stavola to the signing class of 2024.

"Leyni has been a multisport standout during her high school career at Prospect Ridge Academy in Thornton, Colorado, and I am excited to add her to our program next fall," said Coach Doran. "She will finish up her senior season this spring and has been working all fall toward making another trip to the state tournament. Her dedication and work ethic were a couple of things that stood out right away [when] recruiting Leyni. She is very goal driven and always working to better her game."

Leyni Stavola
Stavola, a 5-foot-11 high school senior, currently attends Prospect Ridge High School and is playing in her fourth year of varsity golf. She has also played in tournaments under the Colorado Golf Association and the Colorado Junior PGA and has been named an athlete of the month at Prospect every year of her career.

In the fall portion of the 2023-24 season, Stavola received the Colorado Golf Association's 'Grace Bruke' award and was named an athlete of the month at Prospect Ridge High, with more to come for the Yellow Jacket prospect in the spring.

During her junior season in 2022-23, Stavola secured 9-Top 10 Individual Finishes, played in the Colorado 3A State Qualifier, individually Ranked 16th out of 320 players in the Colorado 3A field, and ranked 12th out of 100 in the Colorado Jr. PGA/ Player Series. In that same season, Stavola raked in a pair of Athlete of the Month awards at Prospect Ridge.

The second year of her high school career was highlighted by a fourth place 3A Regionals performance, a Colorado 3A State Team Runner-Up outing and a First Place Gold Crown on a career-best round score of 77. Academically, Stavola received honors from the Colorado Junior Golf Alliance as an Academic All-Star.

Stavola made a splash in her first year as a varsity starter during her freshman season as she qualified for the Colorado 3A State tournament as an individual and was given her first Academic All-Star honors from the Junior Golf Alliance of Colorado. Â

An all-around athlete, Stavola also competed on the swimming/diving teams and played volleyball for Prospect Ridge. Carrying a 3.4 GPA in her final year and a member of the academic honor roll, Leyni Stavola is eyeing a major in chemistry or biology when she arrives to Spearfish in 2024.
