GOLDEN, Colo. – Black Hills State track and field is lacing them up for this weekend's meet at the Colorado School of Mines Winter Classic Open and Multi. Competition opens on Friday, Feb. 3 and continues through Saturday, Feb. 4 in Golden, Colorado.

Friday's portion of the meet will see most of the Yellow Jacket field athletes competing:
Hanah Sullivan,
Makayla Friederich, and Matt Lofaso will be throwing the shot put,
Reece Ullery and
Mario Guerrero will be competing in the long jump, and the trio of
Shane Karajanis,
Ryan Foy, and
Erin Weibel will compete in the pole vault on Friday. The field events start at 4:30 p.m. with the pole vault and long jump following at 5 p.m. To wrap up the field events is the shot put, which is slated to start at 6 p.m.
Saturday morning will see the full day kick off with the men's weight throw at 9 a.m., with track events starting at noon with the first wave of 60m hurdle preliminaries.
